FTL MODA @ GRAND CENTRAL STATION: PART 2

Andrea Wild at Vanderbilt Hall, Grand Central Station as part of FTL Moda

Energy emulates from 3,000+ guests as models emerge onto a 110 foot runway at Grand Central Station. FTL Moda's #NYFW2015 show was quite the event this past Sunday. Finally catching a minute to post Part 2 (Part 1 here), keep reading to see Spring/Summer 2016 collections from Andrea Wild, Alexandra Frida and Hendrik Vermeulen...

Fur + dark colors for Andrea Wild Spring/Summer 2016...

German architect Andrea Wild incorporates ancestral elegance with textured fabrics, leather and fur. Natural beauty is evident in multicultural faces of all ages, including former Tom Ford supermodel Linda Morand. With less structured silhouettes, Andrea Wild projects a universal fit.

Alexandra Frida brings playful comfort to life with bold colors and geometric patterns. Applying her signature feather print (derived from a microscopic photograph of moth wings), Frida's kaleidoscopic patterns on hi-lo cuts of clothing are stylistically engaging for the upcoming Spring / Summer season. A show highlight comes when 'bionic arm' model Shaholly Ayers removes her prosthetic arm to an applauding audience.

Madeline Stuart opening the runway for Hendrik Vermeulen

Madeline Stuart--a model with down's syndrome--opens the Hendrick Vermeulen show, escorted by two jelly-fish embellished models. Inspired by the 'I am Water' foundation, Vermeulen's vast collection casts a close connection with the sea. From swimsuits to sequined gowns, each silhouette exudes a bold sense of character.
